Dr Xiaoqing Wang

I obtained my PhD in Sociology from The University of Edinburgh, where I developed a deep interest in the dynamic relationships between aesthetic principles, the art field and the socio-cultural context. My research primarily focuses on the sociology of art, cultural modernity and emotional culture. At present, I deliver lectures on modern Chinese history and visual culture, where I explore the fluid ways in which art and culture interact with historical and social frameworks.
