Dr. Xi Chen obtained PhD of Management from the Stern School of Business, New York University. Her research focuses on how individuals’ defense of their self-worth influences their self-management, performance, and well-being. She also investigates how to communicate organizational change to overcome individuals’ defense of their social systems. Her entrepreneurship research has won the Best Paper Award of Canadian Council for Small Business and Entrepreneurship (2020), Best Paper Award in Women Entrepreneurship of Canadian Council for Small Business and Entrepreneurship (2020), and Finalist for Kauffman Best Paper Awards in Entrepreneurial Cognition (2020). Her research has been applied to my consulting services for government (Shanghai State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission),incubators (e.g., Accelerator Centre of Waterloo, Canada), multinational companies (e.g. Danone), domestic companies (e.g., Nuctech Company Limited), and start-up companies (e.g., Data Tellit Inc.).
