Personal profile
Research Interests
I mainly work on the genetic mechanisms of common complex diseases such as pain phenotypes and diabetic eye complications using population cohorts (the UK Biobank, etc). I also expand my research into single cell RNA sequencing on human tissues.
Personal profile
My motto: lie low and make no trouble.
BSc: Zhejiang University, MBBS
MSc: Zhejiang University, Internal Medicine
PhD : The Queen's University Belfast, Human Genetics
Postdoc: INSERM and The Queen's University Belfast, Genetic Epidemiology and Next Generation Sequencing.
AP level: The University of Dundee, Genetic Epidemiology
Associate Professor Level: XJTLU and UNNC, Genetic Epidemiology and Single Cell RNA Sequencing.
I plan to recruit two PhD students in 2026.09. One will focus on GWAS on pain phenotypes and the other will work on scRNA sequencing on retina tissues. I might recruit more if I feel the applicants are strong.
