Research Interests
Dr Steven has published numerous articles in innovation and knowledge management in both leading academic and practitioner journals. E.g. Asia Pacific Journal of Management, Management and Organization Review, Journal of Management & Organization, Personnel Review, Tsinghua Management Review, Business Review. He has successfully led and participated a number of research grants which cover the areas of Chinese firm’s globalization, promoting sustainable innovations / systems and smart city. Those research projects were funded by well-known funding bodies includes World Bank, NSFC, Zhejiang S&T Bureau, etc.

Personal profile
Dr Steven Zhou is an Associate Professor in International Business and Strategy with NUBS China. He focuses on conducting research which could bridging academic world and management practices. His research broadly covers the areas of cross-cultural innovation and management with an indigenous perspective. Before joining academia, he has worked as a senior engineer and consultant for over 10 years in a variety of management business roles including project manager, international business consulting, business development and R&D director. He holds numerous patents and composed several national / industrial standards in the area of green building and sustainable construction.
Steven has taught at both UG and PG levels. He has managed and taught modules such as Doing Business in China, Management Studies, Managing Across Borders, Negotiating in the International Environment, Project Management, Management of Change and Innovation. He has also supervised dissertations of PG and MBA students.
