Personal Profile
Dr. Siang Yew Chong is an Assistant Professor in Computer Science at the School of Computer Science, University of Nottingham Ningbo China. Previously he was a Research Associate Professor and Shenzhen Pengcheng Peacock Scholar at the Southern University of Science and Technology from 2022 to 2025. Prior to that, he was with the University of Nottingham Malaysia from 2008. He received his PhD in Computer Science from the University of Birmingham, UK in 2007. He has been awarded the 2009 Outstanding PhD Dissertation Award by the IEEE Computational Intelligence Society, 2010 IEEE Transactions on Evolutionary Computation Outstanding Paper Award, and Marie-Sklodowska-Curie Individual Fellowship (2016-2018).
