Personal profile

Research Interests

My current primary research is dedicated to the application of AI in the diagnosis and management of respiratory diseases. We are actively developing advanced machine learning and deep learning models to analyze complex medical data, including medical imaging and physiological signals. The goal is to create intelligent systems that can assist clinicians in the early detection, prognostic evaluation, and treatment planning for various respiratory conditions, ultimately improving patient outcomes.

My broader research passion lies in developing non-invasive technologies for physiological monitoring. We are creating novel deep learning and hybrid models that leverage signals like photoplethysmography (PPG) and electrocardiogram (ECG) for the cuff-less estimation of blood pressure. Our work tackles challenges such as signal noise, imbalanced datasets, and model interpretability to build robust, real-world clinical tools.

We design and develop smart, IoT-enabled wearable sensors for applications in functional rehabilitation and continuous health monitoring, aiming to bridge the gap between data acquisition and actionable health insights.

Personal profile

I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, leading a research program at the intersection of machine learning, biomedical engineering, and intelligent systems. My primary goal is to pioneer innovative solutions for complex real-world challenges, with a significant focus on advancing healthcare technology and autonomous systems. As a dedicated mentor, I have successfully guided numerous final year, Master's, and PhD students, and I am actively expanding my research team.

Collaboration Opportunities

I am actively seeking passionate individuals and organizations to join my research journey.

For Prospective PhD & Master's Students: If you have a strong background in computer science, engineering, or a related field and are passionate about solving high-impact problems using AI, I invite you to apply. My students work on cutting-edge projects, publish in top-tier venues, and receive dedicated mentorship. Funded positions may be available for exceptional candidates. Please contact me with your CV and a brief statement of your research interests.

For Academic & Industry Collaborators: I am eager to build partnerships to accelerate the translation of research into real-world impact. I am particularly interested in collaborating with:
Clinical Partners and Pulmonologists to validate our diagnostic and prognostic models for respiratory diseases.
Fellow Academics to pursue joint research grants and co-author innovative studies in our shared areas of interest.
