Dr. Yanze Liang is an Assistant Professor in Management and Director of Undergraduate Programmes at Nottingham University Business School China. He received his PhD in International Business from Alliance Manchester Business School, University of Manchester, and was previously a tenure-track Assistant Professor in International Management at the University of Groningen.
His research sits at the intersection of international business and strategic management, with a focus on emerging-market multinational enterprises, cross-border acquisitions, political embeddedness, innovation, divestment, and firms’ responses to geopolitical change. His work has been published in Journal of World Business, Journal of International Management, and International Journal of Emerging Markets. He has presented his research at leading conferences and workshops, including AOM, AIB, EIBA, AIB-UKI, BAM, JIBS PDWs, and GSJ PDWs. His research has also received both vertical and horizontal funding support from the Ningbo government.
Yanze serves on the Editorial Board of International Business Review and reviews for journals including Journal of World Business, British Journal of Management, Journal of International Business Policy, Journal of International Management, Asia Pacific Journal of Management, Management and Organization Review, and International Business Review. He is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and has received research, teaching, and reviewer recognition, including the International Business Review Best Reviewer Award.
