Research Interests
Dr Melentiev`s interests lay in metal additive manufacturing, precision micro/nano manufacturing as well as surface and coating technologies for biomedical devices, heat exchangers, chemical reactors and hydrogen storage. His research includes AM design, materials processing, microstructure engineering, all sorts of microscopies for surface, interface and coating characterization, heat transfer and fluid dynamics simulations as well as thermal and mechanical testing of the 3D printed structures. Among his topics are:
- Sinter-based additive manufacturing
- Directed energy deposition
- Cold spray and thermal spray
- Chemical and electroplating
- Surface texturing and coating technologies
We are currently looking to hire 2 PhD students with a strong educational background (GPA > 3.5) and English language skills (IELTS > 6.5) to join our international team for research in bi-metallic additive manufacturing. Ambitious candidates who is seeking a stepping stone to an academic growth overseas are particularly wellcome to apply. Feel free to email your CV and a 2-min self-introduction video to ruslan.melentiev@nottingham.edu.cn
