Dr Lefan Liu is working as a preliminary year tutor in Economics, CELE and an internal fellow affiliated with the Centre of Health Economics, School of Economics. She is the module convenor for two introductory modules - Introduction to Economics I (CELEN063) and Introduction to Economics II (CELEN064).
Lefan obtained her PhD in Economics in 2016 from School of Economics, University of Nottingham in the UK. Her primary research interests are health economics and applied microeconometrics. Her recent research work focuses on health literacy and health of the elderly living in China. She has been participating in projects with the goal of generating evidence from data to inform public policy to promote population health.
Her work has been published in international journals in Economics and Public Health including the Journal of International Development, BMC Public Health, BMC Health Services Research, Journal of Environmental Research and Public Health.
In 2015, UN member states agreed to 17 global Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to end poverty, protect the planet and ensure prosperity for all. This person’s work contributes towards the following SDG(s):
