Expertise Summary
Dr Bie has extensive experiences, both as a scientist and as a practitioner, in transport planning, traffic management and intelligent transport systems (ITS). His work mainly focuses on the integration of different aspects of personal mobility. Over the past years Dr Bie has worked on various subjects, including: transport economy, sustainable transport, dynamic traffic management, advanced ITS applications and services, human factors in traffic and transport.
Teaching
Teaching
Dr Bie has taught various subjects over his career, on both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Past teaching has covered subjects such as introduction to civil engineering, introduction to traffic engineering, transport modelling, traffic management and intelligent transport systems.
At UNNC Dr Bie is the convenor of the following modules:
- H21IS1 Sustainable Transport Planning
- H22IS3 Transport Infrastructure
- H23ESC Sustainable Construction
In collaboration with his colleagues, Dr Bie also contributes to a variety of other modules.
