Dr. Fang is an Associate Professor in Management Science and Analytics. She holds two PhD degrees: one in Management Science and Engineering from the University of Science and Technology of China, and another in Information Systems from the City University of Hong Kong.
Her research interests include omni-channel retailing, platform competition, and multihoming operations. Her work has been published in leading journals such as Journal of Operations Management (ABS Level 4, UTD), Journal of Management Information Systems (FT-50, ABS Level 4), Journal of the Academy of Marketing Science (FT-50, ABS Level 4), Information & Management (ABS Level 3), Internet Research (ABS Level 3) and so. She has also presented papers at international conferences including the Academy of Management (AOM), the Hawaii International Conference on System Sciences (HICSS), and the International Conference on Information Systems (ICIS).
Dr. Fang has been awarded a National Natural Science Foundation of China Young Scientists Fund project entitled “Unrevealing Multihoming Sellers’ Strategy in the Context of Cross-Platform Compatibility” (¥300,000 RMB). She was also selected for the 2023 Yongjiang Talent Cultivation Program – Level 3 by the Ningbo Municipal Education Bureau.
Her academic honors and awards include:
- Second Prize of the 8th Yinzhou District Excellent Achievements in Philosophy and Social Science for the paper “Omni-channel Retailing on Platforms: Disentangling the Effects of Channel Integration and Inter-platform Function Usage Difference,” awarded by the Yinzhou Social Science Association (January 2025)
- Outstanding Paper Award at the 24th International Conference on Electronic Business for the paper “Perceptions of Ambivalence in Cause-Related Marketing: Exploring the Impact of Mixed Motivational Signals on Consumer Evaluations” (October 2024)
- Outstanding Reviewer Award, 2024 Emerald Literati Awards, selected by the editorial team of Industrial Management & Data Systems (September 2024)
- Best Paper Award at the 2023 Academy of Management Annual Meeting for the paper “Unraveling Multihoming Sellers’ Coping Strategies to Platform Information Quality Control” (March 2023)
