Dr. Hailin Huang is now an Assistant Professor at the University of Nottingham Ningbo China (UNNC). From 2022 to 2025, he served as a Research Fellow in the Power Electronics, Machines and Control (PEMC) Research Group at the University of Nottingham, UK.
His research focuses on advanced electrical machine design for transportation electrification and aerospace propulsion, with particular expertise in high-power-density traction machines, axial-flux permanent-magnet machines, and innovative winding technologies such as continuous hairpin windings. He has been actively involved in major collaborative projects with leading industrial partners and has published extensively in top IEEE journals and conferences.
