Dr. Charles Yichu Wang is an Assistant Professor in Finance at Nottingham University Business School. He is also recognized as Bo'ao Asia Forum Young Scholar (first cohort of 12 scholars), Deloitte Young Scholar, China Macroeconomics Association Young Scholar, and Lindau Nobel Laureate Meeting Young Scientist (2025). Beyond academia, he is also an active composer, pianist, and conductor, an entrepreneur, and a venture capitalist. His compositions repeatedly appear in major concert halls in China and over the world.
Dr. Wang's research interests are corporate finance, innovation, entrepreneurship, entrepreneurial finance, real estate and China economy. His works are published on reputable journals, including Management Science, Review of Finance, and Review of Corporate Finance Studies, and have been presented in leading international conferences.
Before joining NUBS, he received Ph.D. in Finance from PBC School of Finance at Tsinghua University, M.Fin. from Fudan University and B.S. in Physics from Peking University.
