Dr. Charles Yichu Wang is an Assistant Professor in Finance at Nottingham University Business School. Beyond a scholar, he is also an active composer, pianist and conductor, an entrepreneur, a venture capitalist, and an investment banker. His compositions repeatedly appear in major concert halls in China and over the world.

Dr. Wang's research interests are corporate finance, innovation, entrepreneurship, entrepreneurial finance, real estate and China economy. His works are published on reputable journals, including Management Science, Review of Finance, and Review of Corporate Finance Studies, and have been presented in leading international conferences. He is also recognized as the first generation of Bo'ao Asia Forum Young Scholar, Deloitte Young Scholar and China Macroeconomics Association Young Scholar.

Before joining NUBS, he received Ph.D. in Finance from PBC School of Finance at Tsinghua University, M.Fin. from Fudan University and B.S. in Physics from Peking University.

• For DTP scholarship, you must first get approval by a supervisor from our collaborating universities (e.g., Shenzhen U, Zhejiang UFE).
• As required by the University policy, all the applicants must meet the minimum requirement on GPA and language for NUBS PhD programme to be considered as a candidate.
