Research Interests

Dr. Baiyang Shi has a broad area of research interests include nonlinear vibration, vibration transmission and power flow analysis, vibration suppression, and structure optimization. Currently, he focuses on the following research topics:

  • Multi-frequency excitation problems
  • Uncertainty in vibration
  • Vibration transmission problems in continuous structures

Personal profile

Dr. Baiyang Shi is currently a visiting assistant professor at School of Aerospace, University of Nottingham Ningbo China (UNNC). He obtained his PhD degree of mechanical engineering in 2020 from the University of Nottingham. Prior to that, he received his MSc of advanced aeronautical engineering from Imperial College London (2016) and BEng of mechanical engineering from UNNC (2015).
